People...

It starts to feel like summer here in May with an annual visit to the Southern California Renaissance Faire...it's always fun to draw people at serious play, in costume...

...but most of the time I like to draw people doing ordinary things...
Working...at a car wash in Pasadena, and a film
crew wrapping up on Sunset Blvd....

Shopping...at the Saugus Swap Meet
with a train rumbling by...

...or at the wonderful India Sweets and Spices...

...at the little Farmer's Market at Sunset Triangle on Sunset Blvd...

Families and friends eating out...a family on Father's Day...
the Saturday morning crowd at the bakery in La Canada,
and a group lunch at Gordon Biersch...

 ...and at the Getty Center

More People...

At last taking some time to post more people sketched out and about!

The elegant Trio Los Brilliantes performing at a local Swap Meet...

Lunch at the Grand Central Market in downtown Los Angeles...

A restless morning crowd at a nearby cafe...

Lunch in Burbank with two big groups on a Friday sitting back to back, one from Disney, the other from Dreamworks...and at the Huntington--tourists and a plant sale...

Observing People...having a bite...

...at the Galleria, the Getty Museum, a farmer's market, coffee shop and Indian restaurant
