The Drawing Club Moves On...

Hard to believe that The Drawing Club is pulling up stakes, and moving to a new home...Gallery Nucleus!  I'll miss the old "Club" atmosphere, but looking forward to the tradition carrying on in new surroundings.  Here are some last sketches...

The "The Drawing Club: Master the Art of Drawing Characters from Life" is now available!  Bob Kato, the creator of The Drawing Club, has written a wonderful book showcasing many of the artists who have gathered there since 2002, and the book includes lots of great tips on drawing.  I'm pleased and honored to be a part of it!

Sara Streeter recreates the famous beauty in the Sargent painting known as "Portrait of Madame X".  When Sargent exhibited this portrait at the Paris Salon in 1894, it caused a scandal!  She was originally painted with a fallen strap, and Sargent later repainted it in a more "demure" position...
